Students learn how to recognize a life-threatening emergency, how to provide basic life support and what to do in case of an airway obstruction or choking. CPR & AED for the Professional Rescuer has been approved for training for Emergency Medical Services personnel and is accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).

PALS is intended for emergency personnel in intensive care or critical care departments and emergency medical providers. The overall goal of the PALS Course is to provide healthcare professionals with didactic and psychomotor skills training in the recognition and treatment of conditions that may lead to cardiopulmonary arrest in an infant or child. Serious and life-threatening medical emergencies often cause oxygen to be depleted in the body leaving the victim at risk for shock. The ASHI Emergency Oxygen program focuses on administering emergency oxygen to breathing and non-breathing persons, emergency oxygen delivery systems, and integrating pulse oximetry.

The Child and Babysitting Safety training program is designed to focus on supervising, caring for, and keeping children and infants safe in babysitting settings. The program provides fundamental information in the business of babysitting, proper supervision, basic caregiving skills, and responding properly to ill or injured children or infants.

The Bloodborne Pathogens program includes information that will help students understand what bloodborne pathogens are and how risks of exposure can be reduced for themselves and others. The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030).
